A New Year and we either have given up on all efforts at resolutions so we don’t even start, or we start … and then fizzle!
Each and every one of us begins the new year with the same 525,600 minutes – that’s over 1/2 a million! How will you use yours? If it were actual dollars, you’d probably rattle off quite a few things you’d be able to do. But we have 1/2 million minutes – equally valuable. We can keep repeating past years, like the Groundhog Day movie with Bill Murray. Or we can make 2018 OUR YEAR!
If we look at these minutes as currency, maybe we can inspire ourselves and each other. One of my resources for changing behaviors has been Stephen Guise’s book: Mini-Habits.
Another resource is Joshua Becker at Becoming Minimalist blog. These are both related to personal choice and lifestyle.
There’s so much information out there. But the key is to not get lost in the information. If you find something that resonates with you, the key is to ACT on it! Without action, all the knowledge is pretty useless. We can talk about it, but if we don’t act on it we’ll not get much closer to turning our dreams into reality.
